	The majority of the land is open grasslands, with the southern area dominated by thick forests. 	Regium itself is surrounded by farms and houses maintained by nobles and other families associated with the King and ruling bodies. As well, schools and mliitary installations surround the city, both for convenience and protection. Each of the five surrounding duchies has a "gate", a castle that is maintained and manned by soldiers of the [[Kings Legions \| Kings Legions]] and regular Kings Army, to serve as needed within the Central Kingdom or in the Duchy it is associated with.
