Regium is the capitol of Regnum Central and the central city of the Lands of Men. It is where the King resides and the rulers of the seven Duchies gather to govern. The bureaucracy of the lands is located here, as is the Church of the Light and the Holy Flame.

Regium is a grand city kept clean and well maintained. The city is divided into two main areas - the inner walled city and the outlying outer neighborhoods. These neighborhoods are filled with many tall towers, fine marble buildings with private gardens, small estates, barracks and schools.

The walled city houses the bureaucracy and palace of the King. The palace is on a low hill, visible from any point within the walled city or on approach to the city. It is white and silver, almost resembling a cathedral with majestic towers, colored glass windows, decorations and silver embellishments. Close by, and just as ornate, is the The Temple of the Holiest Flame. Circular, with a glass dome capped by an incredibly large clear gem that focuses the sunlight on the great Pool of Prayer inside. Almost painful to look at in the sun.

The King’s Legion patrol around the city from time to time, marching for practice and effect. Otherwise, there are regular stations and patrols of the Town Guard, and of Southron Duchy soldiers.

Regium is full of markets. Some are more orderly affairs with shops and storefronts and signs to entice shoppers. Others are tents and booths in small squares. The two main market places, within the walled city, are the Center Markets and the more free-wheeling Dawnside market.

Population: 196,789 City area: 3242 acres / 5 mi^2, walled area is 3mi^2

The Temple of the Holiest Flame

Circular, with a glass dome capped by an incredibly large clear gem that focuses the sunlight on the great Pool of Prayer inside. Almost painful to look at in the sun. Looks oddly like a skull at night at the right angle. The main hall of the temple is a huge circular enclosure with a large pool in the center, lit by the crystal above. Below is a vast maze with rooms, crypts, halls, cloisters, and other rooms.

The White Palace

The White Palace, home and court of the King, as well as the main office for the bureacracy, visible from any point within the walled city or on approach to the city. It is white and silver, almost resembling a cathedral with it’s decorative towers and points, colored glass windows, and silver embellishments

It has three distinct levels to it. The first level has tall walls and buttresses with windows high up. The second level has the most visible windows, with soaring buttresses. The third level sits on top and is the whitest marble with silver edging.
